Bexley Public Library Group Study Room
The Group Study Room (GSR) is intended to meet the needs of small groups for study and collaboration, but is not to be used for presentations or programs.
8 Chairs Available | 1 Tables Available
A whiteboard and marker set are also available.
Meeting Owl
Patrons can request to use a Meeting Owl. The Meeting Owl is a 360-degree camera, mic, and speaker for use to conduct virtual meetings. To use this device patrons will have to download and install a free app on a Smart Phone (Apple or Android).
Confirmation from the library must be received by the requesting organization before a request can be considered scheduled.
The individual or group reserving a room will be responsible for the order and conduct of the group and for any loss or damage to library property.
The GSR is for use by groups with a maximum of 8 people.
Set-up in the GSR is the responsibility of the group using the space. Users are responsible for cleaning up and returning the room to its pre-use condition before leaving.
Individual patrons are permitted to use the study rooms only if they need a space to communicate without disturbing others, such as a virtual meeting, interview, or rehearsing a presentation.
Groups can schedule use of the GSR no more than once per day.
Study rooms are available to be reserved by a group for one two-hour interval per day. If there is no waitlist at the end of the two hour period, groups may continue to use the rooms beyond the two hour limit. However, if another group signs up to use the room after the initial two hours, the first group will be asked to vacate the room.
Study room reservations will be given a 15 minute grace period after their reservation time, after which the room again becomes available. Rooms left vacant for 15 minutes will be considered forfeited and belongings removed to the lost and found.
Groups must vacate the room 15 minutes before the library closes and are responsible for clean-up and returning the room to its original setup. Not doing so, damaging library property, or other destructive or inappropriate behavior will result in loss of the meeting rooms and/or library privileges, as determined by the supervisor.
The BPL Patron Code of Conduct applies and must be observed while using the rooms.
By reserving our auditorium or study rooms, you are agreeing to our Meeting Room Policy.
