Volunteers are key to a vibrant library. Bexley Public Library volunteers help in areas such as material assistance, programming, and local history. A full position description is available below. Summer Teen Volunteer:

Do you love working with kids or sharing your fondness for reading? Do you need service hours? Then, you should become a summer teen volunteer! From May 29-July 31, sign families up for Summer Community Read, hand out prizes, and assist with our summer programs. Teens must be at least 13 years old or entering grades 7-12 in the upcoming 2026-2027 school year to volunteer.

The application deadline is June 1. Applications will be considered in the order they are received. If accepted, volunteers must attend ONE of the following mandatory orientation dates listed below and turn in a code of conduct form before they can start volunteering.

VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION DATES:

Thursday, May 21 from 4:30-6:00 PM
Wednesday, May 27 from 6:30-8:00 PM
Sunday, June 14 from 1:30-3:00 PM
Tuesday, July 7 from 1:30-3:00 PM

Board of Trustees

Bexley Public Library

The public is hereby notified that a position on the volunteer Board of Trustees of the Bexley Public Library will become available on January 1, 2025. This position will be to fulfill the remaining term for a resigning board member whose service expires on December 31, 2025.

Responses should be submitted no later than noon, local time, Monday, October 28, 2024. Responses can be emailed to board@bexleylibrary.org, or mailed to Bexley Public Library, 2411 E.
