Join us for an afternoon of amazing vocal jazz featuring Laura Camara and the Jake Reed Trio! Their unique musical interpretations and extraordinary improv skills will be something to experience.
Laura Camara and the Jake Reed Trio have been lighting up stages all over Ohio since 2018. Comprised of some of Columbus’ top jazz musicians such as Bradley Mellen on Bass, Tony Bonardi on Piano, Jake Reed on drums, and Laura Camara on vocals, the groups unique musical interpretations, extraordinary improvisational skills, and incredible synergy, electrify the music and transport the listener to the most unexpected places. The Jake Reed Trio has been performing at venues all over Columbus for over 10 years. In 2018 they decided to team up with award winning local jazz vocalist Laura Camara. Since then they have performed a series of programmed concerts of original jazz arrangements such as “Shades of Ellington”, “The Music of Laurel Canyon” and “Sarah Vaughan, The Divine One”. The group has performed at The Refectory Restaurant, First Unitarian Universalist Concert Series, and The Columbus Museum of Art.

Bexley Public Library was founded in 1924 and first housed in Bexley High School, now Montrose Elementary School. The present building opened in 1929 and was designed by architects O.C. Miller and R.R. Reeves who drew upon French and Italian architecture from the 17th century for the design.
The library is located at 2411 East Main Street, at the intersection of East Main Street and Cassady Avenue. Parking is available in our parking lot on Euclaire Avenue and in front of the library on Main Street. Main Street is a No Parking Tow Zone from 4:00-6:00 p.m. weekdays.
