The Queen of Soul performs one of her greatest masterpieces. This documentary captures Aretha—exactly fifty years ago—recording her all-time best-selling album, "Amazing Grace". Although the album was performed with a choir at the New Bethel Baptist Church (Los Angeles) in January 1972, this remarkable footage wasn't released until 2018.
NPR reporter Anastasia Tsioulcas said it best: "Watching it is a transcendent, spine-tingling, uplifting, utterly joyous experience. As cherished as the album version has been since its release, the film is nothing short of a revelation, soaring from one chill-inducing moment to another."
Space is limited. Masks are required and registration is requested.

The library is located at 2411 East Main Street, at the intersection of East Main Street and Cassady Avenue. Parking is available in our parking lot on Euclaire Avenue and in front of the library on Main Street. Main Street is a No Parking Tow Zone from 4:00-6:00 p.m. weekdays.
