Please note: The Bexley Public Library will close today, April 2nd, at 3:30pm due to the impending inclement weather.
Through this 6-week class, participants will discover a new means for managing stress and anxiety as they learn mixed media and journaling techniques to create their own sketchbooks and art journals.
During this 6-week series of classes, local artist Abby Feinknopf will lead youth participants in using mixed media and journaling techniques to create their own art journals (aka sketchbooks) as a means for managing stress and anxiety. Participants will use watercolor, collage, and a variety of mixed media resources to fill their journals and creatively set up pages and spreads that reflect their emotions, thoughts, and ideas. Through repeated sessions, attendees will find comfort in establishing a consistent time to create and relax through art journaling. While all materials are provided, participants are also welcome to bring their own photographs, recycled greeting cards, and wrapping paper they might wish to include. This series of classes is intended for kids 10-15 years of age.
This program is funded through the Bexley Wellness Fund of the Bexley Community Foundation.

Bexley Public Library was founded in 1924 and first housed in Bexley High School, now Montrose Elementary School. The present building opened in 1929 and was designed by architects O.C. Miller and R.R. Reeves who drew upon French and Italian architecture from the 17th century for the design.
The library is located at 2411 East Main Street, at the intersection of East Main Street and Cassady Avenue. Parking is available in our parking lot on Euclaire Avenue and in front of the library on Main Street. Main Street is a No Parking Tow Zone from 4:00-6:00 p.m. weekdays.
