Culture + Conversation with the Bexley Minority Parent Alliance

Primary tabs

Join us and the Bexley Minority Parent Alliance for small plates of comfort food and a multi-cultural, multi-dimensional conversation about American history. How have African Americans influenced American culture in ways you may not know or recognize? The discussion will be led by Dr. Valerie Lee, Professor of English at The Ohio State University. All are invited and welcome.

Valerie Lee is the author of "The Prentice Hall Anthology of African American Women's Literature," "Granny Midwives and Black Women Writers: Double-Dutched Readings," "Invisible Man's Literary Heritage: Benito Cereno and Moby Dick" and of articles and reviews on African American literature and theory and multicultural pedagogy. She is the recipient of the Ohio State Alumni Distinguished Teaching Award and the Ohio State Distinguished Service Award.
