In this special evening event, Pulitzer Prize-winning author Richard Ford will discuss his life and career followed by an onstage conversation with Lee Martin, author and Pulitzer Prize finalist. Writing since the 1970s, Mr. Ford is recognized as one of America's greatest living authors. His novel, The Sportswriter, was named by Time Magazine as one of the best 100 books written in English since the magazine's inception. He won the Pulitzer Prize and the PEN/Faulkner Prize for his novel Independence Day, the first novel to ever win both prizes, and he was also named a Pulitzer Prize finalist for Let Me Be Frank With You. His most recent book, Between Them, is a beautiful and stirring memoir of his parents. A film adaptation of Ford's novel Wildlife, directed by Paul Dano and starring Carey Mulligan and Jake Gyllenhaal, released in October 2018 to critical acclaim.
